Bestow with Your kindness, oh my Lord
to the one who has little provisions
lacking in honesty
coming to Your door, oh Exalted one
You're the healer
You're enough in all circumstances
You're my Lord
You're my Suffice
You're the best provider for me
How's my condition,oh my Lord?
I've no good deeds
My bad deeds are many
and the provisions from my obedience to You are few
say to my fire 'be cold'
oh my Lord, for my sake,
just as You said: "We said oh fire be cold."
for the sake of The Khalel (Ibrahim a.s.)
A man once came complaining to al-Hasan about a drought.
So he replied: "Pray to Allah to forgive you."
Another man came to complain to al-Hasan about poverty.
He told him: "Pray to Allah to forgive you."
Another man said to him: "Pray to Allah to bless me with a child."
He replied: "Pray to Allah to forgive you."
Another complained to him that his garden was dry.
Al-Hasan again replied: "Pray to Allah to forgive you."
When he was asked about this, he said: "This is not my personal opinion, for Allah says in Surah Nuh:
"Ask forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He's ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send (rain from) the sky upon you in (continuing) showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers." [71:10-12]
